Tate St Ives is in a stunning location overlooking Porthmeor Beach in St Ives. They have exhibitions of modern / non-figurative art throughout the year. Open every day from March to October - 10.00am to 5.00pm. Open Tuesday to Sunday during November, December, January and February - 10.00am to 4.00pm. The galleries are closed three times a year to allow for changing exhibitions, although the shop and cafe remain open. Dates of closure vary so check with the gallery before visiting.

Admission is £8.75 (Tate and Hepworth), £5.75 (Tate only), £4.75 (Hepworth only), Free (under 18s and Tate members).


 

The St Ives Artists Colony

Tate St Ives specialises in modern art and the art and artists of the St Ives Art Colony - established in the early part of the 20th Century. The unique landscape and quality of light of St Ives has brought many prominent artists to the town over the years. These include Barbara Hepworth, Ben Nicholson, Naum Gabo, Peter Lanyon, Piet Mondrian, Bernard Leach, Leonard Fuller, John Wells,Wilhelmina Barns-Graham and Terry Frost.
